Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Flanged Ball Valves

Explosion Proof Stainless Steel Flanged Ball Valves are used in industrial settings to regulate the flow of liquids and gases. They are designed to withstand explosion risks in addition to offering exceptional safety measures to help keep your worksite and employees safe.

They are dual certified low emission & fire safe and have an investment cast 2 piece 150 pound flanged valve that mounts between standard ANSI pipe flanges. They are power-to-open and power-to-close and stay in the last known position when power is removed. The valve features a 316 stainless steel body and PFA fused balls.

The flanged design allows the valve to be installed with no rise in the handle and the internal position is sleeved to prevent debris from sticking to the float and causing damage. The flanged design also helps the valves to be more easily cleaned and inspected.

This type of valve has a rotary drive and is powered by an electric actuator with the ability to accept either 4-20mA current or 0-10V DC voltage signals for positioning the valve open or closed. When the power is turned on the actuator runs and via a self-locking gear drive rotates the float a quarter turn to open or close the valve. The rotary drive is stopped by internal cams that strike limit switches and on receipt of a reversing continuous signal the motor turns in the opposite direction to reverse the valve position.

This valve is available in a manual or an automated package for actuation. The electrical actuators are direct mounted to the flanged valves for a compact assembly that can fit in tight spaces. They also come in a variety of supply voltages and options for on/off, modulating or intelligent control.
